Mount Leuser
National Park, commonly abbreviated TNGL is one of Nature Conservation Areas in
Indonesia covering an area of 1,094,692
hectares. The administration is located in two provinces of Aceh and North
Sumatra. This forest is dominant in East Aceh, South Aceh and North Sumatra
Langkat, known by the results of world-class coffee and tobacco.

in Indonesia and most diverse area of 7,927

Mount Leuser
National Park itself takes its name from Mount Leuser (3404 M asl) in Aceh.

AROUND
In Bukit Lawang or
Ketambe, walking around with a lot of fun because the village is quite small
and can be accessed in a short time. You can walk from one side to the other in
about 25 minutes. There are three bridges that provide access to the resort
across the river. Access to the Gunung Leuser National Park is priced at Rp
20,000 per person. Payment can be made in Bukit Lawang.
TRANSPORTATION
Sign of Bukit

an alternative for entry into the Leuser National Park. Towards Ketambe also
easier on the field or Kutacane, a town close to Ketambe.

bus from Medan, Bus Terminal Pinang Baris to Bukit Lawang, 86 km by road to the
northwest. Check ticket prices for one-way trip and prepare your money in
advance. Buses leave every 30 minutes. Sometimes the schedule is uncertain. To
return to the field, you can take a minibus or a large bus from the Bus Bukit
Lawang.
You will find the
driver offering minivans from the Belawan ferry terminal direct to Bukit
Lawang. Prices may vary and be higher than the public transport.
